China lawyer recounts torture underneath Xi's 'war on legislation

For Xie Yanyi it was not the actual physical abuse that was the toughest to endure - though his record of the deliberate cruelties inflicted upon him is prolonged.
He was kept in a pressure situation, crouched on a low stool, from 06:00 in the early morning until finally 22:00 at night time.
